Boys;

70% chance.  What are you talking about?  You ask.    The odds of  me peeing in the shower before the game, or is it the odds of Jimmy P getting a shutout?  Or maybe it's the chance of The Chad bustin loose a little "rage", or Volly to get in a fight or lip off the refs, or that Petey V would wear his fat suit to the game again to give us all a good laugh in the locker room.   Even though any one of those could most definitely be accurate here's what I'm talking about.......there is a 70% chance that Walker will bring his "girl friend" to the game this Saturday.  Now I know what you all are thinking and please sit back down and hang up the phone.  I'm as shocked as you are.  But it's true.  Walker told me himself, there could be a sighting on Saturday.  I just hope she doesn't catch a glimpse of old Blue Eyes or Walker's done for.
Moving along, it was hockey night at Mt. View once again and both teams were sure to bring their passion to the game.  We started off strong, opening the scoring as usual.  Then it just took off from there.  We played another hard grinding game and at least two goals were scored because we fought for possession of the puck deep in their end, gained control and poked it in.  The first two goals were scored exactly that way.  If we wouldn't have done some aggressive forechecking we wouldn't have scored.  That's definitely one of our strong points, aggressive attacks deep in their zone and controlling the puck deep as well.

Now to the passionate part of the game.  There were fists of feury, gloves being shed, and fights a brewing out on the pond last night.  It was a thing of beauty.  And the other team was as into it as we were.  It was a great game of good old fashioned hockey with great goals and fights all bubbling over with passion and a love for the game.  That's what I like to see. It brings a tear to my eye.

Unfortunately with passion and fighting comes consequences and the refs and the rink don't always see it that way.  But that's part of the game and there's fewer things better in life than playing a hard fought game and at the end shaking hands with the opponents, leaving it all on the ice and hitting the showers with a bunch of naked men.......was that out loud???

So we may not have the most self controlled bunch in the league and we aren't getting any lady byng trophies this spring but we play good hockey and most importantly we stick up for each other out there.  Demuth took a crosscheck to the helmet and Volly didn't take kindly to that.  So it was game on.  Good for you Volly, none of us should let that happen to one of our own.  There needs to be enforcement when needed and accountability.
